Silver Double Headed Eagle Men's Necklace

The double-headed eagle is a historical figure adopted by many different cultures in the Eurasian region. The double-headed eagle figure was first seen in Mesopotamia in the late 3000s and early 2000s BC. It later spread throughout Central Asia. The double-headed eagle was used fondly by Turkish civilizations in the phase that extended to Anatolia. Many symbolic meanings were attributed to this use. In Central Asia, the double-headed eagle was used as an amulet, talisman, light and sun symbol. It is also known to represent greatness and sovereignty. On coins, some rulers used it as a coat of arms-symbol, while others used it as a motif that supported and reinforced their ruling power. The double eagle symbol used in Artuqid coins and Seljuk structures in Anatolia was used in city walls, mosques and madrasahs, palaces; as a symbol of protection and sovereignty and as a protector from evil forces. By the way, we see that the double eagle motif was also used by the Byzantines. This motif symbolizes that the state and church were held together and governed in a single body in Byzantium. From the 14th century onwards, it was adopted as the dynastic coat of arms of the Holy Roman-Germanic emperors, and later as a symbol of nobility in Europe. It was also used in the state coats of arms of the German, Austro-Hungarian and Russian empires. All of our products are handmade. Due to silver and precious stones, there may be a ± 10% deviation in product weight.
