Silver Hilya Sharif Necklace

Hilye is a decorative art developed by Ottoman calligraphers in the 17th century. The literal meaning of hilye is ornament, adornment and beauty, and it also carries meanings such as form, attribute and creation. Hilye, which has a total of eight sections, consists of four main parts. These are "chief position", "navel", "girdle" and "skirt". The other four sections function to complement the main sections. Chief Position; Located at the very top of the hilye, this section contains the Basmala. Girdle; This section contains a short verse about Muhammad. This verse is usually found in verse 107 of the Enbiya Surah, meaning "We sent only as a mercy to the worlds". However, in some hilyes, the hadith "levlâke levlâk lema halakatu'l-eflâk", which means "O my beloved, if it were not for you, I would not have created the universe", was also written in this section. Belly; This section, where the longest part of the hilye text is placed, is round or oval. It is the section where the narrations about Muhammad are included. Skirt; The continuation of the hilye text that does not fit in the belly section is written in this section. The last line of the text includes the name of the hilye writer and the date the hilye was written. Other sections; These four sections, which are outside the main sections, are in the form of four circles around the belly. In these four sections, where the four caliphs are mostly written, sometimes the four names of Muhammad are included. You can also enjoy using this necklace with spiritual meaning and gift it to your loved ones. The necklace is made of 925 sterling silver. Oxidized silver is coated. Necklace models with oxidized coating have an authentic appearance. As with all necklaces, the silver Hilye-i Sharif necklace is also handmade.
